This midwest location is famous for its twinned Calcite crystals. This one is fairly large for the location. The color is a rich Amber. The surface looks melted which is common for the location and presumably caused by acidic ground water. Included is a picture of the bottom to show this is not a man induced alteration. The specimen is in good condition with three very small bruises which could be covered up with a dab of mineral oil for display purposes.
