Mineral Specimen #4578 Polsihed Petrified Wood Limb

A polished piece of Petrified Wood which displays distinct growth rings in alternating colors of reddish brown and green/brown with a lighter are in one area. The exterior has a light colored outer rind. The specimens is from a collection from the Lansing, Michigan area which consisted of specimens collected in the 1960s. There was quite a bit of self collected Petrified Wood including a small number of cut and polished specimens. The polish on this specimen is very good, very smooth with a glass like luster. Please note: in the last picture, the curved, white colored reflection is from the camera lenses.
