Mineral Specimen #4366 Purple Adamite
Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Ex. Steve Pullman
Fairly long Adamite crystals which are a reddish violet color deep in the interior and white to light gray in the rest of the crystals. A smaller crystal is broken on the side of the specimen which reveals banded layers of the purple coloration. There are quite a number of terminations on the main crystals which have curved edges and a high glossy luster.
The specimen is in excellent condition with the exception of the broken crystal on the side which is actually is positive since this reveals the banding of the purple coloration. The specimen has been glued onto a styrofoam base which has been glued into a 2 1/2 inch fold up box.
