Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia

5.1 x 5 x 0.7 cm

$75 / Reserved

A slice of a Quartz crystal which reveals, in the cross section, a six pointed star pattern, known as a Trapiche. The rays of the star have as end points the six corners of the crystal. The rays are quite transparent and clear with the surrounding regions being contrasting translucent and milky white in color. There is a tan rind around the edges. Two of the edges have small attached mica crystals. Both sides of the slice have a very good, high polish. The specimen is in good condition with the exception of one edge which chipped. There is also a hairline crack near this chipped area and another one on the opposite of the specimen..
