The Quartz crystals on this specimen are rather odd with highly etched and distorted surfaces. The largest crystal has a flat termination which is partially covered with micro crystals of Epidote and Albite. Many of the Quartz crystals are double terminated. The Quartz crystals are clear with a slight grayish coloration. The matrix is composed of a mass of mixed micro crystals of white Albite crystals and green Epidote. Many of the small Epidote crystals are gemmy when viewed under 10x. A number of larger Epidote crystals are present. The color ranges from dark green to a pistachio. The largest crystals are long and thin with the longest measuring 28 x 3.5 x 3 mm. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
