Copper has replaced many of the bands in this small banded Agate which has filled an amygdule in basalt. These specimens are highly sought after. A number of them were recently found at the Centennial mine. This is an older specimen from the nearby Wolverine Mine. The two halves have been cut and polished. One note: because this is an older specimen, the Copper has tarnished. However, while writing this description, I happened to rub the polished surfaces and the Copper brightened considerably and is a bit more attractive than in the photos.
The specimen is in good condition however, there is some visible, faint saw marks on the half with the basalt.
