This is an extremely nice specimen with a rather unusual combination of rutilated Quartz with well developed Hematite crystals. The Rutile is both included in the Quartz and on the outside where it grew in an epitaxial formation from the surface of the Hematite crystals. There is one particularly nice, large Hematite crystal which has very dramatic growth lines and a blue iridescence. The specimen is in very good condition with virtually no damage.
