Mineral Specimen #402 Aquamarine, Tourmaline (Schorl), Albite
Erongo Mountain, Erongo Region, Namibia
The Aquamarine in this specimen is a nice rich blue color. The two large crystals at the top of the crystal have some gemmy sections. The terminations at the top end of these two crystals end in contacts. The lower ends are well terminated. There are a number of other Aquamarine crystals scattered across the specimen, especially at the bottom. The specimen stands upright without the help of a prop. The Schorl Tourmaline crystals are in sprays near the top of the specimen. The black of the Tourmaline contrasts nicely with the white Albite and blue Aquamarine. The Albite is colored white to off-white.
