Mineral Specimen #4018    Stibconite Pseudomorph after Stibinte

Catorce, San Luis Potosi, Mexico

Ex. Steve Pullman

Two Stibnite crystals conjoined at the base have completely altered to Stibconite. The shape of the Stibnite crystals has been well preserved with striations the length of the crystals still evident. The color is a mix of yellow/orange/tan. This is a classic Mexican location for such specimens. The specimen is in good condition but, the crystals are not terminated. The specimen has been glued onto an acrylic base with a piece of styrofoam as a prop.
