Mineral Specimen #3930    Scapolite Crystal

Roadcut near Bancroft, Hastings Co., Ontario, Canada

7 x 7.2 x 6.7 cm

Sold

Ex. Steve Pullman, Stauffer 1964

A fairly large Scapolite crystal with a complex habit. The color is a bit mottled in shades of brown with an overall chocolate color. The surfaces have a glossy luster in many places. From the label glued onto the specimen, it appears the specimen was collected in 1964 (note: although Scapolite is a Tectosilicate, it is not a Feldspar). Steve Pullman bought the specimen from Lidstroms in January, 1985. The specimen is in very good condition
