Mineral Specimen #3815    Pollucite, Rubellite Tourmaline, Quartz

Varutrask, Skelleftea, Vasterbotten, Sweden

Ex. Steve Pullman

This specimen contains massive whtie Pollucite, massive Smoky Quartz, minor Mica, and sprays of light purple/pink colored Tourmaline. There is a cryptic note mentioning 'type specimen (note oxidized surface)'. There is a rare phosphate, Varulite, for which this is the type location. Only one picture has been posted on mindat which does bear a resemblance to a vein of dark colored material on the oxidized side of the specimen. The specimen is composed of massive material.
