Mineral Specimen #329    Calcite with Phantoms and included Chalcopyrite

1962 or earlier

The Calcite crystals on this specimen have a rich golden honey color with high luster. The golden Calcite encases phantom crystals the same white/gray color as the base. On these phantoms, are Chalcopyrite crystals similar to those found on/in the base. This is from the Richard Kadr collection who was from the Cleveland, Ohio region and purchased in 1962. On the back of his label is written "MO" which is the sate abbreviation for Missouri. The specimen is in good condition with a minimum of damage to the Calcite.
