Mineral Specimen #2595    Pyrite

Logrono, Spain

Two cubic crystals of Pyrite, the smaller of which is partially embedded in the larger. Because of the flat surface of the faces, the specimen readily stands up with the larger crystal as a base. The surfaces of the crystals have a high metallic luster. The specimen is in good condition with only two chipped areas on the edges and one corner very slightly damaged.
