Mineral Specimen #1315 Tourmaline
Pederneira Mine, Sao Jose da Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil
This Tourmaline crystal is extremely attractive. It is a bright, light green color. Very gemmy with a sharply pointed termination which quite sharp edges. It is actually double terminated with the end hidden in tack in the photos covered with small balls of Lepidolite. The specimen is very gemmy with just a few fractures perpendicular to the C axis. There appears to a central core at the bottom of the crystal which is different than the rest of the crystal. The specimen is in very good condition with only a few very small chips on the termination, one being on the edge.
