Thunder Bay District, Ontario, Canada

Dark purple Amethyst with red inclusions of Hematite in a thin layer in the terminations of the crystals. This coloration is distinctive to the Amethyst mines in the Thunder Bay region located just north of Lake Superior. The specimen is in good condition with the exception of some minor wear on the crystal terminations. Mined prior to 1975.
