Cretaceous Period

Ammolite is the name used for gem quality Ammonite. 90% of it is mined in the area where this specimen was mined. The colors of this specimen are very vivid. The colors are bright green and bright reddish orange (the orange color is more reddish than in most of these pictures). The bottom of the specimen has been sawed. There is some fracturing in the colored layer.
