Mineral Specimen #1263    Large Calcite Crystal

Sweetwater Mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds County, Missouri

A large Calcite crystal with a very rich orange/brown color. The color is found in an outer layer on the surface of the crystal. This color is only on one side of the crystal. The specimen is in fairly good condition, but there are a few places where the layer of orange brown has been worn off. There are also a couple of chips missing from some of the secondary crystals.
