Mineral Specimen #1260 Magnetite Crystals
Mina Huaraniquina, Cerro Huanaquino, Potosi Department, Bolivia
Lustrous black octahedral crystals of Magnetite. The crystals have sharp well defined edges and corners. On average, the crystals are 7 mm measured along an edge with the largest being 10 mm. The specimen is in fairly good condition with chipping on a few of the corners and edges with three corners being broken. There are more crystals of a smaller size on the bottom of the specimen.
