Mineral Specimen #1237 Fluorapatite coated with Hematite
Pea Ridge Mine, Sullivan, Washington Co., Missouri, USA
This chocolate brown colored Apatite crystal is extremely large for this location. In many places, there is an overgrowth of micro crystals of Hematite. The specimen is in good condition with the exception of some fractures of the Apatite and some minor bruising of the Hematite.
