Mineral Specimen #1218 Iridescent Siderite, Quartz
Chihuahua, Mexico
Sphere shaped aggregates of small white Quartz crystals are over coated with golden bladed crystals of Siderite. Coverage ranges from no Siderite at all to almost complete coverage. For the most part, the Siderite is a bright shiny iridescent gold color. There are areas where the iridescence is pink to purple with a few flashes of blue. The specimen is in fairly good condition, but a couple of the spheres have broken off.
