Mineral Specimen #1187 Sulfur Crystal
Maybee, Monroe County, Micigan
This is an unusually well formed Sulfur crystal for this location. Good crystals are quite hard to find at this quarry and almost never this large; I have personally collected at the quarry several times and sold several hundred Sulfur sprecimens from the quarry. Many have etched surfaces. This specimen was collected in the 1970s by a couple, now deceased, from metropolitan Detroit. This specimen has nice flat faces with multiple terminations at both ends and no etching. This specimen is in good condtion with only minor bruising except at the point of attachment.
