Mineral Specimen #1180 Wulfenite and Orange Mimeite
Rowley Mine, Theba, Painted Rock District, Painted Rock Mts, Maricopa Co., Arizona, USA
The colors of this specimen are quite bright and definetly eye catching. The Wulfenite is found as small, thin, yellow/orange bladed crystals which are fairly transparent and have a high luster. The Mimetite is in spherical masses and also has a bright luster. The bright reddish orange color of the Mimetite was only occasionally found at this mine. Underneth, there are small blades of a pinkish colored Barite. The specimen is in fairly good condtion but there are a few broken Wulfenite crystals.
