Mineral Specimen #1154 Antlerite
Chuquicamata Mine, Chuquicamata District, Calama, El Loa Province, Antofagasta Region, Chile
Cu3(SO4)(OH)4
The Anterlite crystals on this specimen are a bright Emerald green color (much better in person than these photos). Although some of the crystals exhibit contact points, there are a number of discrete complete crystals. With the high luster and attractive color, these crystals are highly attractive under magnification. On the other side of the specimen, the Antlerite is found as a coating of massive material.
