An old specimen from a classic Maine Vesuvianite location first described in 1848. The Vesuvianite is a dark brownish green with parallel crystals with flat terminations.There is also massive Quartz present. Neal Wintringham wrote a book on Maine minerals, "Handbook for a week with Maine Minerals ".
