Mineral Specimen #1077 Chert Arrowhead
Near Lake City, Missaukee County, Michigan, USA
A well shaped arrowhead chipped from Chert from the north central part of Michigan's lower peninsula. When I was growing up, my family had a cottage not too far away. The area is quite hilly with glacial moraines. Chert is common glacial erratics in the area. It appears the arrowhead may have been coated with lacquer.
