Mineral Specimen #1073 Calcite with Included Copper
Ontonagon County, Michigan, USA
The Copper is present as both being included in the Calcite and being on the surface. The included Copper is quite a bright color, whereas that not included is dark and weathered. The Calcite with the included Copper has a high luster and quite clear in places. The rest of the Calcite is massive, white and opaque with cleavage planes. There is also green Epidote present.
