Houghton County, Michigan, USA

Although Datolite nodules are commonly found in the Michigan Copper District, crystal specimen are quite rare. The specimen has a large number of small, clear Datolite crystals on a bed of basalt. The larger crystals are Calcite. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
