Mineral Specimen #1007 Quartz coated with Hematite Included in Selenite
Teruel, Aragon. Spain
The Quartz crystals of this specimen have been coated with a layer of red Hematite. The same colored Hematite is also included in the clear Selenite which has grown around the Quartz crystals. The Gypsum is Triassic in age. The specimen is in very good condition with no appreciable damage.
